Correct charging method for forklift battery

As a DC power source for forklifts, tractors, trucks, underground mine locomotives, etc., forklift batteries are widely used in airports, stations, ports, vegetable and fruit markets, and industrial and mining enterprises. A forklift battery is a battery for a forklift that operates on a battery. It is also the battery in the battery of the electric forklift. 1. Preparation of the forklift battery before charging
1) Make a battery pack in series to ensure correct polarity and secure connection.
2) The prepared electrolyte is poured into the battery, and the liquid level is preferably at the bottom of the basket in the liquid hole plug.
3) Allow the temperature to stand for 4-8 hours, until the electrolyte temperature in the battery drops below 35 °C. (Charged in a running water tank if possible)
4) Connect the positive and negative poles of the battery pack to the positive and negative poles of the charger, and do not connect them in reverse.
2. Forklift battery charging and charging current selection
1) Charging, in two stages:
Phase I: 10% of the capacity is the charging current. (Example: D-500 is 500 × 10% = 50A); the voltage is set to (2.5 × battery only) V, when it is charged to a single voltage of 2.4V, it is transferred to stage II; (this stage generally requires 20-30 hour)
Stage II: Continue charging with 1/2 of the I-phase charging current (ie 500×10%÷2=25A). The direct charge is 4.5-5 times the rated capacity.
Please refer to the following methods to determine whether the charging is complete:
a After the battery is charged, the measured voltage does not rise for 3 hours without changing the charging current.
b After the battery is charged, the electrolyte density does not rise for 3 hours and reaches 1.270±0.005 g/┩ (the liquid level is qualified).
c. The electrolyte liquid level in the battery is intense and uniform.
2) General charging, even after use, is carried out in two stages: (this stage requires a total of 12-16 hours)
Phase I: The charging current is 14% of the battery capacity (example: D-500, ie 500×14%=70A). When the single battery voltage is charged to 2.4V, it is transferred to stage II.
Stage II: Continue charging with 1/2 of the I-phase charging current (ie: 500×14%÷2=35A). The direct charge is 1.4-1.5 times of the discharged power. Refer to 3.1 a, b, and c together. Condition.
Be mindful:
1 Charging should not be charged with a constant voltage charger.
2 Charging is necessary to make the battery reach the end of the electricity condition.
3 During the charging process, it is necessary to make the temperature within 55 °C. If it exceeds the current, it should be recharged after cooling down.
