The battery for forklifts is an open-filled battery. It is not maintenance-free. It is currently not in the battery industry. The electrolyte is electrically conductive, and once it flows between the positive and negative electrodes of the battery, a self-discharge of the circuit is formed. In this case, the electrolyte should be wiped off or rinsed with boiling water.
If something accidentally falls into the electrolyte, do not use metal objects to fish, use wooden sticks to remove impurities; if you use iron wire or copper wire to fish, metal molecules will enter the battery under the attack of sulfuric acid to form self-discharge. When the battery is damaged, during the charging and discharging process, the water in the electrolyte will gradually decrease due to electrolysis and evaporation, resulting in a decrease in the electrolyte surface. If it is not added in time, it is possible to shorten the service life of the battery. The distilled water should be added in time, and it should not be replaced by drinking pure water.
