Forklift battery electrolyte density measurement

Forklift battery needs to regularly check the density of the electrolyte to confirm the consistency of the monomer. The balance of density determines the energy of the battery itself, especially the forklift battery pack used for more than 2 years. It is tested at least once a month. This is the key to determining the life. Regularly measure the density of the battery electrolyte, which should be about 1.28g/cm3 (except for maintenance-free batteries). Method of measuring the density of the electrolyte The respective caps of the battery are unscrewed, and the electrolyte is sucked from the filling port by a densitometer until the float of the densitometer floats up. When the density meter is raised to the position of the line of sight of the eye, the reading is observed to ensure the accuracy of the reading. The density of the electrolyte of the forklift battery varies with the degree of charge and discharge of the battery. The degree of decrease in the density of the electrolyte is the battery. A manifestation of the degree of discharge.
The indicator of the forklift battery is also called the electric eye. In many cases, the battery is maintenance-free and cannot judge the state of the battery. We can observe the basic condition of the battery through the indicator observation. However, if the forklift battery needs to know this information, it must be configured with electro-hydraulic. The voltage display is similar to the electric eye. Otherwise, it can only be observed by the test density. It is the same lead-acid battery. Measure the density of the electrolyte in each cell to see how much the battery is discharged. When the electrolyte density is less than 1.23 g/cm3 (15 °C), the battery should be charged.
The electrolyte density specification is measured on the basis of 15 ° C. If the temperature is lower than 15 ° C or higher than 15 ° C, the actual temperature of the electrolyte should be measured using a thermometer to calculate the correction value of the electrolyte density. In addition, the electrolyte density should be adjusted according to the temperature. The battery electrolyte density should be determined according to regional and seasonal conditions. The density is too high, which affects the service life of the battery; if the density is too low, it will easily cause the electrolyte to freeze in winter. The density difference of each single cell electrolyte of the same battery should not be greater than 0.01. If the density of the electrolyte of a single cell is too large, the inside of the cell may be faulty, and the cause should be identified and repaired.
The shape of the electric eye is different from that of the device. The indicator of the battery is used to observe the state of the battery. Under normal circumstances, the blue color of the observation hole indicates that the battery is in good condition; the black color of the observation hole indicates that the battery needs to be charged; the white color of the observation hole indicates that the battery needs to be replaced. Because the indicator is not tight enough with the battery, plus the thermal expansion of the housing and indicator. Acid mist often diverges through the assembly gap between the indicator and the battery to form a white crystal, which can easily cause the indicator to malfunction and cause misjudgment.
